Gridlock Buster

University of Minnesota’s, ITS Institute hired Web Courseworks to develop an engaging online experience that would raise interest and awareness in the transportation and engineering field among young adults. Web Courseworks enhanced the Institute’s current traffic simulation into a robust serious game with options for multiple levels and varying degrees of complexity. The player must work through a series of levels by exercising control and fixing traffic situations — such as lines of backed-up traffic and frustrated drivers — in a simulated environment.
